Biological material for analysis should be taken in the morning on an empty stomach.
On the eve of the test, it is recommended not to consume vegetables and fruits that can change urine color (beetroot, carrot, etc.), and to avoid diuretics. Before collecting urine, perform thorough hygiene of the genital area. At the beginning of urination, release a small amount into the toilet, then collect the middle portion (about 50ml) in a sterile container. Women are not recommended to take urine tests during menstruation.
The last meal should be 10-12 hours before examination. Avoid physical exertion, alcohol, and smoking the day before. Blood sampling for sexual hormones (LH, FSH, testosterone, estradiol, etc.) in women of reproductive age is done on days 3-5 of the menstrual cycle.
Blood is taken on an empty stomach. Avoid fatty, fried, smoked, spicy foods, alcohol, and smoking for 12 hours before the test. Limit physical and emotional activity 20-30 minutes before. Avoid blood sampling immediately after physiotherapy or X-ray examinations (except special tests for presence of components in blood). Repeat tests at the same time of day as the first.
Do not wash or use cosmetics the day before and on the day of sample collection.
For test collection:
Tests should be done before starting antibacterial therapy. Avoid tests earlier than 2 weeks after hormone or antibacterial therapy. Biological material for bacteriological research must be collected in sterile containers.
